Opinion: Corruption reigns in the ‘Wild East’

After surveying 22,000 people in 16 Asia-Pacific nations, Transparency International reported this year that just over one in four persons had paid a bribe to access public services. The organisation stated: ‘Police top the list of public services most often demanding a bribe.’
