MSPO2019: Poland lines up transport aircraft and anti-tank missile haul
The Polish Ministry of Defence (MoD) has submitted two letters of request (LoR) to the US Defense Security Cooperation Agency relating to the planned procurement of FGM-148 Javelin anti-tank missiles and five Lockheed Martin C-130H Hercules medium transport aircraft.
Poland intends to procure 180 Javelin missiles and 60 launchers. The equipment will be distributed among various units of the Territorial Defence Force, the 5th branch of the Polish Armed Forces.
The future contract is likely to also cover logistical support package as well as training services for operators and maintenance personnel.
