Farnborough 2018: RBS15 Mk 4 in the works for Gripen requirement

Saab is developing the RBS15 Mk 4, the air-launch progression of the surface-to-surface Mk 3, for use with the Gripen E and other fixed-wing aircraft, which could in future include the Swordfish MPA.

Development of the new missile is ongoing, while company officials said that they expect to be able to conduct the first live firing in the 2021-22 timeframe. In 2020-21 the system will undergo fitting trials to the Gripen E operated by the Swedish Air Force.
