As the UK eyes the development of a new fighter jet through the Team Tempest programme, the Eurofighter Typhoon is expected to be a testbed for new technologies until a single aircraft line emerges.
Speaking with reporters on 17 July at Farnborough, the CEO of Eurofighter, Volker Paltzo said the company is preparing to move out on technology upgrades to ensure the aircraft is ready for the future battlefield. The future, though, may mean a single fighter line.
'It's our strong conviction, at a date, Europe will converge on one single European combat system,' Paltzo said.
