Eurosatory: ATK to equip Jordanian C295 gunship
A Royal Jordanian Air Force Airbus C295 aircraft will be fitted with the ATK M230 30mm chain gun for service in the Jordanian armed forces as a gunship.
A memorandum of understanding was signed at Eurosatory on 17 June that will see the two companies work with the King Abdullah II Design and Development Bureau (KADDB) to modify the aircraft that will be known as the AC-295.
At the signing of the MoU, Prince Feisal bin Al Hussein said that the procurement of the new gunship would ‘fill a capability needed by Jordan’.
