French aerospace and defence group Thales has posted an increase in sales for 2016, with emerging markets being at the centre of 'strong growth' for the company.
Emerging markets – which include Asia and the Middle East – now account for €4.5 billion in sales for Thales, representing a 13.3% increase from 2015.
'It means that the proportion of business activity [from emerging markets] has also grown,' said Patrice Caine, Thales Group CEO and Chairman. According to Thales, these countries now account for 30% of all sales, compared with 28% in 2015.
