EDEX 2018: UK companies on Egyptian sales drive
The UK defence industry made a concerted drive into the Egyptian market with nearly 30 British companies making the trek to Cairo to show off their products during EDEX 2018.
While aware that trying to win business in Egypt is difficult, foreign companies were eyeing the fact the Egyptian government led by Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, himself a former army officer, is now investing in its military as well as its infrastructure.
It was no surprise, therefore, that more than 350 defence/aerospace companies from 41 nations from around the globe were also in town.
