Analysis: Radical revamp for People’s Liberation Army
The People’s Liberation Army, a military beholden to the Chinese Communist Party, has embarked upon the most serious restructuring since its founding in 1933. President Xi Jinping’s overhaul will dramatically streamline the PLA’s four services: the army, navy, air force and rocket force.
