Ahead of the 2018 Air Power Conference, to be held in London in July, Shephard spoke with AVM Mike Wigston about the RAF's role in the international arena and what some of the key topics will be during the event.
The conference comes at a time of change for the service as it prepares to retire ageing Cold War-era platforms, while integrating new fifth-generation platforms into its fleet.
