AAD 2018: UK seeks to reboot South African partnership
One of the key mantras on the ground at AAD 2018 in South Africa is ‘potential’– this is a sentiment being explored by the UK government which is seeking to ‘reboot’ and ‘revitalise’ a UK-South Africa partnership.
In August 2018, the British Prime Minister, Theresa May, journeyed to the country to reciprocate the visit made by newly-elected South African President Cyril Ramaphosa to the UK in April of this year.
British High Commissioner, Nigel Casey, explained to the press at AAD that the UK is seeking to ‘reboot’ and ‘refresh a revitalised relationship’.
