Vikhr-1 ATGMs for the Russian Ka-52 fleet

The Kalashnikov Concern reported on 5 April 2016 that it had finalised the delayed contract for the delivery of Vikhr-1 anti-tank guided missiles (ATGMs) to the Russian MoD, amounting to Roubles 13 billion (equating to about US $419 million at the time of intent in 2013).

Company’s director general, Alexey Krivoruchko, claimed that during the manufacturing process the imported components used in the missile were replaced by Russian-made equivalents.

The Vikhr-1 contract for the delivery, of as many as, 1,972 missiles dates back from October 2013, with its delivery deadline set to the end of 2015.
