US Administration 'Loss of Trust' in Corporates Will Hit Defence Says Boeing IDS VP Raymond; But Rolling Plan Should See Them Through

Speaking to press at Boeing’s Titusville facility, FL, on the day of the last shuttle mission tasked with maintaining the Hubble telescope, Chris Raymond, Boeing’s vice president business development, Integrated Defense Systems, said (via webcam from Washington DC) that the current business environment was ‘challenging’ but that in his view the IDS portfolio was balanced: “we are sitting on the cusp of a potential downturn but we have a plan.”

However, Raymond said that he believed that within the new administration “there has been a loss of trust in big business” due to many of the failures by the corporate
