Ukraine boosting its security with Airbus fleet

Ukraine has given the go-ahead for a large-scale purchase of Airbus Helicopters' aircraft to be used for internal security and civil protection duties.

This has been undertaken through a government-to-government memorandum of intent on bilateral cooperation, signed on 23 March 2018 between Ukraine’s interior minister, Arsen Avakov and the French Minister of Europe and Foreign Affairs, Jean-Yves Le Drian.

The deal foresees the procurement of a total of 55 helicopters comprising of the H125, H145 and H225 models for the Ukrainian Ministry of Interior.
