UK MoD extends TACDS support contract

Petards has received a contract extension from the UK Ministry of Defence’s Air Platform Systems Platform Protection team to support in use ALE 47 and M147 Threat Adaptive Countermeasures Dispensing Systems (TACDS), the company announced on 19 March.

The exercised option is expected to be worth more than £1.1 million over the two year period to December 2021, in addition to the original contract.

TACDS are fitted to Lynx, Puma, Chinook, Merlin, and C-130J aircraft platforms.

The contract will see Petards continue to perform post design services, with additional engineering, repair, refurbishment and manufacturing.
