Transition ease is key to H225M win

Singapore’s selection of the Airbus Helicopters H225M could have come down to the fact that it offers a quick and smooth transition for the Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) and the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) as a whole.

Although both Singapore’s Ministry of Defence (MINDEF) and the manufacturer declined to comment on the exact numbers of airframes ordered, Shephard understands it will be less than the 32 Super Pumas/Cougars the RSAF currently operates, and probably around 24-28 Caracals.
