Tigres in action

The French Army has released details of combat actions by its new Eurocopter Tigre attack helicopters in Afghanistan under Operation Pamir.

On Saturday, September 5, DET Helico Pamir were tasked with the extraction of 23 allied soldiers in contact with insurgents in two positions about 70 km from Kabul. Two Tigres and two Caracals were deployed. The Tigres arrived first to engage the insurgents with the aircraft's 30 mm nose-mounted gun.
