Tight race for Singapore helicopters

International OEMs are looking to secure a lucrative contract and bragging rights as the Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) replaces two squadrons of AS332/532 Super Pumas and Cougars by 2020. 

This year Defence Minister Ng Eng Hen announced at the Committee of Supply hearing that the RSAF ‘is in the final stages of evaluations’, and new helicopters will be announced soon.
