Despite the best efforts of Airbus, will the Australian Army achieve its long-standing ambition to acquire US-made attack helicopters?

The gloves are coming off as an announcement on the winner of the Australian Army’s attack helicopter programme draws nigh. It is now pretty much certain that the knockout punch will go the way of the US, but Airbus Helicopters in the European corner is refusing to stay down on the mat.

On 7 October, Airbus Australia Pacific addressed media in an effort to reinvigorate its offer for Project Land 4503, the replacement of the Tiger Armed Reconnaissance Helicopter (ARH).
