Taiwan introduces first UH-60Ms

Taiwan is standing up its first four Sikorsky UH-60M helicopters at Guiren Air Base, after they arrived from the US on 3 December.

Destined for Republic of China Army (ROCA) service, the quartet is the first batch of 60 UH-60Ms ordered by the ROC government.

The Black Hawks will be permanently stationed at Guiren Air Base located near Tainan City, which is also home to ROCA rotary-winged training.

The remaining Black Hawks will be despatched in six further batches through to 2018. Forty-five Black Hawks will be operated by the ROCA, while 15 will be allocated to the National Airborne
