Sweden's Defence Materiel Administration, the FMV, has delivered the first two UH-60M Black Hawks to the Swedish Armed Forces Helicopter Wing.

The aircraft - designated locally as Hkp 16 - were handed over during a ceremony on 17 January at Linköping and will be based with the Helicopter Wing at Linköping.

'The [aircraft] will play an important role in the helicopter battalion, not only nationally but also internationally and there is no doubt the Helicopter 16 will also strengthen the armed forces' ability in the future,' said Swedish Armed Forces Supreme Commander, Sverker Goranson.
