StreamServe Persuasion Helps Eurocopter to Streamline Customer Communications and Boost Its Brand
StreamServe, Inc., a leading provider of Enterprise Document Presentment (EDP) solutions for business communications, announced today that the Eurocopter Group in France is using StreamServe Persuasion(TM) to improve the quality of its customer documentation. Eurocopter, an EADS subsidiary and the world's leading civilian and military helicopter manufacturer, is based in France, Germany and Spain and has 18 subsidiaries all over the world.
By implementing StreamServe Persuasion, Eurocopter is industrializing the design and production of one of its most complex documents, the Logbook. The Logbook is an official document intended for customers, that provides a true photograph of the helicopter's configuration at the time of delivery. It provides each customer essential information on the various helicopter parts that need to be monitored throughout its service life (e.g., as part of mandatory maintenance requirements). Often over 1,000 pages in length, the Logbook identifies some 200 to 500 components and includes, amongst others, the helicopter compliance certificate issued by Eurocopter.
Eurocopter chose to integrate StreamServe Persuasion as part of its ASSEMBLY project, which is intended to move the main applications dedicated to helicopter assembly onto an SAP environment. With its tight integration with SAP, StreamServe Persuasion is improving the overall composition, page layout optimization, pagination, and readability of Eurocopter's Logbooks. In addition, StreamServe Persuasion is helping Eurocopter to implement versioning, which allows for revisions and updates to be made quickly and easily to the Logbook before delivering the final document to the client.
"By adopting StreamServe's solution, we are now providing our civilian and military customers with detailed technical documents that are more modern and easier to understand, thereby enhancing our brand image," said Thierry Varone, Head of Information Systems at Eurocopter's Quality Department.
Xavier Mathias, Project Manager with the Eurocopter IS Department added: "We selected StreamServe to industrialize the composition and printing of our Logbooks. The Persuasion solution is a robust one, which is easy for the solution's 150 users to apply. In addition, StreamServe appears as a real backbone solution for all new SAP output management needs."
"We are pleased that Eurocopter has chosen to deploy StreamServe Persuasion within its existing SAP infrastructure," commented Dennis Ladd, president and CEO, StreamServe. "By simplifying the composition of Eurocopter's Logbooks, our solution will dramatically reduce production time and resources, while also further increasing the value of Eurocopter's customer offerings."
