Spain set to receive SH-60F Seahawks

Work is progressing on the refurbishment of two ex-US Navy Sikorsky SH-60F Seahawks that are destined for delivery to the Spanish Navy.

The Fleet Readiness Center Southeast (FRCSE) and Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) received members of the Spanish Navy in Jacksonville to discuss the annual SH-60 programme management review (PMR) focusing on aftersales support and future goals.

Since 2009, the two Excess Defense Article SH-60Fs had been grounded at the Air Force Materiel Command’s 309th Aerospace Maintenance and Regeneration Group (AMARG) ‘boneyard’ facility in Arizona until shipment to FRCSE for overhaul in July 2013.
