South Korea issues naval helicopter requirement

On 14 June the Defense Acquisition Program Administration (DAPA) announced the launch of its search for a second batch of naval helicopters – 12 in total – for the Republic of Korea Navy (ROKN).

DAPA scheduled a briefing for interested bidders on 28 June, and distributed what it termed an RfP for the planned Maritime Operations Helicopter (MOH) Batch 2 project.

DAPA noted this will be an ‘overseas commercial purchase (direct commercial sale)’ under an open competition, firm fixed price contract.
