SNA Symposium 2011: Kaman, Lockheed continue to expand K-Max offering

Kaman and Lockheed Martin are preparing K-Max for a quick reaction assessment (QRA) that could lead to an in-theatre deployment in the unmanned cargo role, following the December award of a $45.8 million contract by the US Marine Corps (USMC).

Speaking at the Surface Navy Association (SNA) Symposium, company representatives discussed what the QRA would involve and some of the other programmes currently being pursued.
