Sino-Russia helicopter specs set

China and Russia have settled on the conceptual design of a new joint heavy helicopter and are now working to determine the nature of the industrial agreement.

The target performance specifications of the new joint rotorcraft, which has been dubbed the Advanced Heavy Lift (AHL), were revealed by Victor Kladov, chief of the international cooperation department of Rostec, the parent company of Russian Helicopters.

Moscow has now entered into detailed negotiations with its Chinese partner Aviation Industry Corporation of China (AVIC) to define the new helicopter’s precise performance and technical characteristics.
