Singapore enhancing its Apache fleet

A Boeing AH-64D Apache Longbow featuring numerous modifications similar to the Israel Defense Forces AH-64D-I Saraf was recently spotted on an evening training flight in Singapore, evidence that the Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) has begun upgrading its fleet of 20 Apaches.

The most distinct upgrade is installation of two SATCOM domes on the wingtips. Due to line-of-sight issues, the body of the Apache forces the devices to be installed this way to ensure 360° coverage.

The RSAF's new Apache also sports no less than three chaff and flare housings along the tail boom, and should the IDF's Saraf
