Sikorsky is progressing with its pitch to the Israeli Air Force to choose the CH-53K King Stallion over Boeing’s CH-47 Chinook with the decision expected to be made within the year.

The Israel Air Force is seeking to modernise its fleet of rotary-wing aircraft, and is replacing a squadron of Sikorsky CH-53D Sea Stallion helicopters.
