Serbia purchases Mi-35Ms and Mi-17V-5s

Russia has received an order to supply seven Mi-35 and three Mi-17V-5 helicopters to Serbia, with delivery planned for completion in 2019.

This agreement has been revealed by Serbian president Aleksandar Vucic during his address to the nation following Russian president Vladimir Putin’s visit to Belgrade on 17 January.

Vucic noted that Serbia is satisfied with its military-technical cooperation with Russia and confirmed that the country has already ordered these helicopters. The delivery commitment was re-confirmed by Russian officials during Putin's visit, which was used to agree a sizeable Russian weapons package for the Serbian military.
