Farnborough 2016: Spanish Navy AB212 upgrade advances

The third of seven upgraded AB212 helicopters will be delivered by October this year to the Spanish Ministry of Defense’s Directorate General of Armament and Material, Sener confirmed at the Farnborough International Airshow (FIA 2016).

The delivery is part of Sener’s modernisation programme to increase the operational lives of the Spanish Navy’s AB212 helicopters, carried out in a joint venture with Inaer.

One main objective of the AB212 modernisation programme was to produce a tailored product.
