Sea-Air-Space 2019: New US presidential helicopter nears production

The USMC’s VH-92A presidential helicopter replacement could soon receive the go-ahead to enter production, according to a key official.

USMC Brig Gen Greg Masiello, the navy’s programme executive officer for air anti-submarine warfare, assault and special mission programmes, said on 6 May that the VH-92A is scheduled to undergo a review on 30 May on whether it is ready to enter production. The milestone decision rests with navy acquisition chief James Geurts.
