Safran Helicopter Engines to support Dutch Cougar fleet
Safran Helicopter Engines has been awarded a new contract by the Royal Netherlands Air Force (RNLAF) which formalises an MRO agreement to support more than 40 Makila 1A2engines until their end of life.
The Malika engines are installed on the RNLAF fleet of AS532U2 Cougar Mk II helicopters. Under this contract, the RNLAF will be able to optimise its engine maintenance budget and benefit from guaranteed MRO turnaround times.
Olivier Le Merrer, Executive VP of Support & Services at Safran Helicopter Engines, said: ‘We are proud to strengthen our relationship with the RNLAF through this comprehensive support agreement. It permits the continuation of a long-held drive with the Logistics Centre Woensdrecht to control engine operating costs. We are committed to offering them world-class support.’
