Saab to support Swedish NH90 TMS
Saab has been awarded a contract to provide tactical mission system (TMS) component maintenance for the Swedish armed forces' NH90 helicopters, the company announced on 20 July.
The contract has a five-year base period and a one-year option, and is valued at around $19.65 million. Under this contract, Saab will provide maintenance services to ensure full TMS system availability.This includes the NH90's anti-submarine warfare sonar system.
With this contract, Saab now supports and maintains the complete Swedish NH90's TMS, designated Hkp 14 in Swedish service.
Jonas Hjelm, head of support and services, Saab, said: 'This agreement confirms our strength as a support provider who ensures the availability of our products throughout their lifecycle. It also confirms our long-standing and good relationships with the Swedish Defence Materiel Administration and the Swedish armed forces when it comes to their helicopter operations.'
