Mi-8/17 after sales support to expand
Russian Helicopters is considering strengthening its in-country after sales support capabilities in Serbia, the company announced on 20 January.
The company is assessing whether the facilities at the Moma Stanojlovic aircraft factory can be retrofitted to provide services for the Mi-8/17 helicopters operating in the country.
If the retrofit goes ahead, repairs and servicing may also be extended to Russian helicopter operators in neighbouring European countries.
Igor Chechikov, deputy CEO for aftersales service, Russian Helicopters, said: ‘Our priority is the active development of programmes that provide aftersales service for the Russian-manufactured civil and military helicopters that are used all over the world. There are Mi-8/17 helicopters used in Serbia and other European countries that require repair and modernisation.’
