Russian Helicopters eye European market to introduce innovative technology
Russian Helicopters is planning to use the European market as a platform to promote Russian innovative technology in helicopter production. The growing Russian helicopter industry, alongside the fixed-wing and space industries, offers advanced technology on the global market.
The holding exhibited its newest helicopter models and other developments on the united UIC Oboronprom display at International Aerospace Exhibition and Conferences ILA-2010 in Berlin (Hall 10, stand 201; chalet 05-06).
The medium Mi-17-V5, Ka-32A11BC and the light Ka-226T and Ansat are on display. These rotorcraft can be used for corporate, passenger, cargo, search and rescue, construction, surveillance, and firefighting operations. They are all made using modern technology and are fitted with the most up-to-date avionics. Basic components are made from high-quality allows and modern materials, produced using cutting-edge technology.
The combination of ease of operation and maintenance, reliability, low cost, and unique payload and altitude capabilities make Russian rotorcraft one of the most rational commercial options on the global market.
According to Russian Helicopters COO Andrei Shibitov, "taking part in ILA-2010 the holding company can demonstrate the most up-to-date Russian developments in helicopter production, based on innovative technology, and learn from the experience of its American and European partners."
