Russian Helicopters co-production with China and India

It is anticipated that China and India are set to expand their industrial cooperation with Russian Helicopters by organising co-production of new models.

A framework agreement covering the joint development and preparation of the serial production of the Advanced Heavy Lift (AHL) helicopter was signed for in early May 2015 between the Russian Helicopters holding and Aviation Industry Corporation of China (AVIC).

The contract for the AHL co-development was inked between the governments of Russian and China in June 2016.  Anticipated demand for AHL in China could exceed 200 units by 2040, most if not all of these are
