Russia pushes mobile sim

Russian Helicopters has taken its mobile training simulator for the Mi-8MTV1 helicopter to the KADEX military exhibition that is currently being held in Astana, Kazakhstan.

Designed and built by the Russian company, VR-Technologies Design Bureau, part of Russian Helicopters, the device has undergone a number of updates since its unveiling at MAKS 2015 last August, notably to the visual system, host computer, motion system and mission control interface.

The simulator is containerised and mounted on a wheeled chassis, which allows the device to be transported and deployed rapidly without dismantling it.  The Mi-8MTV1 simulator also has a self-contained electric
