Russia gains business in Myanmar and Korea

Russian Helicopters has been awarded a contract to repair four attack helicopters belonging to the Myanmar Air Force.

The first Mil Mi-35P will be repaired in Saint Petersburg, Russia while the remaining three will be worked on in Myanmar by technicians despatched from the Russian entity. 

Myanmar took receipt of four such attack helicopters from Russia in 2010, and an extra four the following year.

Russian Helicopters indicated further work could emerge upon completion of this job.

Doing business with the Myanmar military is a sensitive issue due to its human rights abuses, and arms embargoes are in force.
