Rotorcraft Asia: Sikorsky celebrates operator milestone

Lockheed Martin company Sikorsky has strengthened its stronghold in Asia-Pacific through long customer relationships and a new service centre.

At Rotorcraft Asia 2017, the company spoke about its historical 50-year relationship with Brunei Shell Petroleum (BSP), which uses its fleet of six Sikorsky helicopters for offshore oil and SAR operations.

The fleet comprises three original S-61Ns and three S-92s. Christophe Nurit, VP Asia-Pacific sales and marketing at Sikorsky, told journalists at the show how BSP has flown hundreds of thousands of hours and carried 4.5m passengers safely to and from offshore oil rigs.
