Rostvertol demonstrates improved Mi-28NE

An enhanced Mi-28NE derivative for export customers has been publicly unveiled for the first time at Army 2018. A set of new design features have been added as a result of combat experience in Iraq and customer requirements in order to enhance the helicopter’s overall combat performance and lethality.

The latest Mi-28NE derivative features a new main rotor system with more efficient blades than the existing and it comes powered by the VK-2500-01 turboshafts rated at 2,400shp each.

The engines are provided with new dust protection devices, designed in-house at Rostvertol, with a claimed 93% cleaning effectiveness and without reducing
