Raytheon to support V-22 Osprey systems
Raytheon has won a contract from the US Navy Air Systems Command for the support of V-22 Osprey aircraft systems, testing and software, the company announced on 10 February.
Under this $270 million indefinite delivery-indefinite quantity contract, Raytheon's Intelligence, Information and Services (IIS) business unit will provide software support activity systems, software engineering, avionics integration, testing and acquisition support services for the V-22.
Raytheon IIS will begin work in February and end in December 2019 on the contract at its Indianapolis, Indiana facility.
The V-22 Osprey is a multi-mission, joint-service tiltrotor combat aircraft that combines the high-speed and long-range cruise performance of a fixed-rotor aircraft and the mobility of a helicopter.
