Quad A: AVX confident about JMR/FVL

AVX Aircraft has revealed more details about the Coaxial Compound Helicopter (CCH) it is developing for the US Department of Defense’s Joint Multirole (JMR) next-generation rotorcraft programme.

At the Quad A exhibition in Nashville, the company released further information about the CCH configuration, which it argues combines the benefits of a helicopter, such as payload capability and small footprint, with that speed, range and self-deployment capabilities of the tiltrotor.

The CCH design features dual ducted fans for propulsion and manoeuvrability, canards for lift, wide doors on each side and a rear ramp for loading/unloading.
