“US Army Aviation has now flown over 3 million combat hours,” declared MG James Barclay III, Aviation Branch chief and Ft. Rucker Commander during his opening remarks on the first day of the Army Aviation Association convention and exhibition at Nashville, TN.

That was one of the few positives of an otherwise rather guarded address. Despite the obligatory ‘rock’ themed video of Army Aviation doing what it does best – the opening message contained references of difficulties to come.
