In answer to the call (stated publically by a couple of commanders here already) for a Hellfire-like guided weapon that has accuracy without the ‘sledgehammer’ effect, Lockheed Martin’s ongoing self-funded semi-active laser guidance kit for 2.75”/70mm rockets is nearing availability.

When LM lost out during the Advanced Precision Kill Weapons System (APKWS) – an acquisition that was then halted for lack of budget – it continued to develop its own system, DAGR.
