Quad A​ 2019: Defiant on track for full envelope expansion

After a series of past development issues, the Sikorsky-Boeing SB>1 Defiant JMR-TD aircraft is now expected to complete its full flight test envelope before year end.

A figure of 115 flight hours over 12 months had been initially publicised in December and the Sikorsky-Boeing programme team could shorten that time, if future test flights pass without incident.

The specific flight hour target is based on an internal list of tasks required to prove various airspeeds can be flown successfully, as well as load factor testing.
