Quad A 2019:​ Bell makes V-280 FLRAA tri-service pitch

Based on its recent Future Long Range Assault Aircraft (FLRAA) RfI submission, Bell is confident the company’s Joint Multi-Role-Technology Demonstrator (JMR-TD) the V-280 Valor tiltrotor can be suitably modified for and eventually fielded by the US Army, USMC and USSOCOM.

A number of specific requirements for each service are covered under the FLRAA programme which is expected to be army-led for another two years, before the USMC and USSOCOM both join the acquisition process.
