Quad A 2015: Bell displays V-280 simulator

A new simulator for the V-280 Valor tiltrotor aircraft is on show for the first time at the Quad A exhibition in Nashville.

Bell Helicopter is building the V-280 for the Joint Multi-Role technology demonstrator (JMR-TD) phase of the US Army’s Future Vertical Lift (FVL) programme. The simulator has been developed by TRU, a part of Textron.

Steve Kihara, flight performance liaison in the V-280 programme told Shephard that the concept for the simulator started a year ago and the build began six months ago.
