Quad A 2013: US AH-64E due to enter FRP as next round of negotiations begin

The PM for Apache in the US Army has stated that 43 of the new AH-64E helicopters are in LRIP with FRP beginning in FY14 as negotiations are set to begin for the next contract of new build aircraft.  

Col Jeff Hager said that 33 AH-64E aircraft have entered the army’s inventory so far, and it still has a requirement for 56 new build aircraft which will bring it to a total of 690 Apaches. 

‘Full rate production deliveries of AH-64 will begin in FY14 next year and will run through FY27, so we have several years of production
