Qatar requests mixed fleet of MH-60R and MH-60S

The Qatari government may purchase a mixed fleet of MH-60Rs and MH-60S helicopters, it has emerged.

According to a Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA) release on 26 June, the Qatari government has requested a possible purchase of 10 MH-60R Seahawks and 12 MH-60S, as well as options for a further six of the latter.

The move comes just a fortnight after Qatar requested the UH-60M.
 
The deal is potentially worth up to $2.5 billion and includes engines, support equipment, communications gear, as well as government and contractor engineering, technical, and logistics support services, and other related elements of logistics
