Waiting game over for British Army as AH-64E Apache deliveries begin

The British Army has received delivery of remanufactured AH-64E V6 Apache helicopters which are due to replace a fleet of legacy AH Mk1 aircraft.

A five-month delay to delivery of British Army Air Corp remanufactured AH-64E V6 Apache Guardian attack helicopters has ended with the first two platforms arriving at Wattisham Flying Station, Suffolk.

As Shephard reported in May 2020, the delay had been caused by ‘a change in the development’ of the aircraft, according to the UK MoD, with a new schedule for delivery reset for before year end.
