US Army sends draft FLRAA RfP to industry

A new FLRAA draft RfP signals the US Army is making steady progress with a key FVL programme.

The US Army has privately issued Bell and a Sikorsky-Boeing team with a draft RfP for the Future Long Range Assault Aircraft (FLRAA) programme.

Details of the document (said to be 2,100 pages long) are being protected by the US Army to ‘preserve competition integrity’, but a source explained to Shephard that there was nothing surprising about its contents.

‘There’s no major shifts or changes in terms of where we thought the army would go with it,’ he explained.

Shephard understands that the draft RfP has largely been informed by a series of RfIs and two sources sought notifications previously
